Representações Lineares dos Grupos de Tranças
Neste trabalho estudaremos o chamado grupo de tranças de Artin e algumas de suas representações lineares. Um problema que permaneceu em aberto por muito tempo foi a linearidade do grupo de tranças de Artin. Motivado por isto, veremos a contribuição da representação de Burau do grupo de tranças para esse questionamento, assim como também estudaremos a representação de Gassner no contexto do grupo de tranças puras.

In this work we shall study the so-called Artin braid group and some of its linear representations. One problem that remained open for a long time was the linearity of the Artin braid group. Motivated by this, we will see the contribution of Burau's representation of the braid group to this questioning, as well as the representation of Gassner in the context of the pure braid group.
